Often, many people do not realize how easy it is to own their own bowling shoes.  How often have you gone into a bowling center and watched them spray down the bowling shoes that have been on someone else’s stinky sweaty feet?

Lane #1 Massacre Red Death

Storm Reign Bowling Ball Release Coming Soon

Storm is coming out with a new Advanced Performance Bowling Ball called the [bowlingball value=”7137″/] on 9/24/2009.  We just shot a bowling ball reaction video and plan on having it posted by the end of the week.

I must say that this bowling ball was very aggressive and reactive.  Tony Ruocco pointed out that whenever I put a balance hole on my access, the ball seems to react well for me.  It could be the visual cue that I am releasing the ball well that helps me, or it could just be coincidence.

Brunswick C (System) 2.5 Bowling Ball

Brunswick is coming out with a new bowling ball release, scheduled for the end of September 2009.  There is limited details of this release right now, all the information is available at [bowlingball value=”7529″/].  We are looking forward to seeing this ball in action as soon as we can.

Bowling Balls Cheap

It always amazes me that some prop shop operators still try to tell customers that have bought a bowling ball on the Internet, that they received a second or a blemished bowling ball. They try to scare customer by telling them that the Internet sells Bowling Balls Cheap and therefore they are no good.

The truth is, bowlingball.com purchases bowling balls from the same distributors that the pro shops buy from. Anytime we do buy seconds and blems, we make it known to our customers before the purchase is complete.

On very rare occasions, a second may get past a manufacturer’s inspection. This happens in pro shops as well. In that case, we of course make the situation correct and replace the bowling ball.

Yes, bowlingball.com sells bowling balls cheap, but we do not try to pass off seconds and blems as first quality product.

I just stumbled across a neat little gadget that turns your WIImote into a bowling ball.

Simply open the ball and insert your WIImote.  Close it up and use it like a real bowling ball, just don’t let go.  Bad things happen when Wii accessories fly across the room towards expensive television sets.  I wonder how realistic this attachment is.

Store Your Bowling Spec Cards

Your pro shop operator should have your bowling specs on file.  If you decide to purchase a new bowling ball, they do not have to fit you again.  So if they have your specs on file, why shouldn’t you.  bowlingball.com now gives you the ability to store your specs in your account.

Most bowlers do not know their specs.  This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it sure can’t hurt for you to have.  I have heard many stories over the years of pro shop owners just closing up shop, or airlines losing bowling balls on the way to a tournament out of city or state.  Fitting is not a science, it is more of an art.  If you have a great fit already, then you really don’t want to change it.

Your bowling specs include your span (distance from thumb to fingers), hole pitches (the angle the holes are drilled in the ball), hole sizes (the diameter of the holes being drilled), and much more.

Brunswick Siege Bowling Ball Drilling Layouts

Roto Grip Nomad Pearl

It’s coming close to that time of year again, and there is no slow down in bowling ball manufacturing. Roto Grip has a new bowling ball coming soon, the [bowlingball value=”7206″/].
